The Easter story, as retold on twitter! It’s reasonably accurate, with some artistic license! The Scripture verses include Isaiah and Psalms, as well as New Testament passages that tell the story of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. For the historical accounts of Jesus found in the Bible, why not read it for yourself online.
The Transformed Life

What would it take to change your life?
Would winning the lottery achieve everything you really need?
The above graphic went viral on social media recently, due to the miscalculation that actually ends up with everyone only getting about $1.44, rather than 4.33 million each. Like many things in life, it’s a nice idea that gets it monumentally wrong.
In this talk, Andy Buchan looks at the story of two men who once encountered Jesus and had their lives changed like they would never had imagined. Jesus offers acceptance and hope like nothing or no-one else. Have you considered what he offers you?

What requirements to you have to meet?
Is that anything like meeting Jesus?
In this talk, Andy Buchan outlines what Jesus himself has to say about what it takes to come and follow him. The text is from Luke’s Gospel:

John 1:1-12
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe.8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.
9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

Carols Playlist
Rather than the usual Christmas ‘song’ playlist of the supermarket variety, these Christmas carols and songs reflect the true story of Christmas. You won’t find jingle bells here, nor any reference to Rudolph.
The Original Jesus
The Original Jesus by Carl Laferton – is a great introduction to Jesus. This book is available in our lending library or available to purchase (i.e. amazon books, e-book etc).
